Full-Time Hybrid
Nanny / Household Manager
The Baby Pros Collective is a boutique domestic staffing agency based in Nashville. We place with a select number of families and we stand behind every placement we make.
A private family in the Belle Meade neighborhood of Nashville is seeking an experienced, self-directed Hybrid Nanny/Household Manager to join their household on a full-time basis. This is a dual-role position requiring genuine proficiency in both child-focused care and proactive household operations management. Candidates who excel in one area and tolerate the other need not apply — this family is looking for someone who takes equal ownership of both.
The household is Montessori-aligned, maintains a strict no-screen-time environment, and places a high value on consistency, structure, and independent judgment. One principal works from a home office and is present during the day; the other works remotely and travels to Greensboro approximately 1–2 times per month. Day-to-day communication is conducted via text and in person. The candidate must be comfortable adapting to two distinct communication and management styles.
Occasional travel with the family is a non-negotiable component of this role. Candidates who are unable or unwilling to travel will not be considered. The family has two large dogs; comfort with and daily care of large dogs is required. The family has a pool; candidates must be strong swimmers.

The family has one child — a preschool-age girl who attends school five days per week and takes a long midday nap. When in the candidate's care, she is the primary focus. This family operates a child-led learning environment informed by Montessori principles and expects the caregiver to extend that approach throughout the day.
Household tasks are not paused when the child is home — they are integrated. This family wants a candidate who naturally involves the child in the rhythm of the home, using grocery runs, meal prep, laundry, and gardening as age-appropriate, hands-on learning opportunities. The candidate should have a clear understanding of how to balance active engagement with a preschooler alongside the operational demands of a well-run household.
- Full daily care and supervision of one preschool-age child, including morning routine preparation
- School pickup and drop-off as needed
- Engagement through enrichment activities, outdoor play, age-appropriate crafts, and child-led exploration
- Adherence to and reinforcement of Montessori-aligned principles, natural and logical consequences, and the family's established behavioral boundaries
- Strict no-screen-time policy — zero exceptions
- Children’s meal preparation and snacks; oversight of dietary preferences and allergy awareness
- Maintenance and organization of child’s spaces, belongings, and clothing
- Support for enrichment activities including ballet and swimming
The household side of this role is substantive and ongoing. The family maintains detailed running task lists and requires a candidate who can self-direct against those priorities, proactively identify what needs attention, and execute without micromanagement. School hours and nap time provide consistent daily windows for household operations.
- Grocery shopping, pantry restocking, and procurement of household supplies — specific brands and preferences are important to this family
- Weekly meal planning and dinner preparation for the household
- Full laundry management — wash, dry, fold, and put away; children’s and household linens included
- Errand execution — dry cleaning, returns, pharmacy, and day-to-day logistics
- Vendor and service provider coordination, including housecleaner oversight, landscaper scheduling, and contractor management
- Home organization projects; maintenance and upkeep of household systems and spaces
- Family calendar management and scheduling support
- Travel preparation and household coordination during family travel
- Daily care of two large dogs, including feeding, walking, and coordination of grooming and veterinary appointments
Compensation
- Competitive annual salary — specific range shared with qualified candidates
- Salaried position; no hourly floor
- Placed on payroll
Benefits
- 10 days paid time off per year
- Paid holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter
- Dedicated nanny vehicle provided for all work-related use
- Dedicated cell phone provided for work use
- Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience in a nanny, household manager, hybrid, or family assistant role — preferably in a private household setting
- Demonstrated household management experience; candidates from childcare-only backgrounds will not be considered for this role
- Familiarity with Montessori-aligned or child-led educational approaches; experience in a no-screen-time household strongly preferred
- Proven ability to self-direct, manage competing priorities, and anticipate household needs without prompting
- Strong vendor coordination and household logistics experience
- Comfortable and experienced with large dogs; daily dog care is a component of this role
- Strong swimmer — required; the family has a pool
- Open to and comfortable with occasional family travel — this is a firm requirement
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record — required
- Current Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification — required
- Non-smoker — required
- High school diploma minimum; additional education or professional training in child development, household management, or related field a plus
- Fluent English; strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check and provide professional references
Every candidate we work with stays in our network with our full support — before, during, and long after placement.
The ideal candidate for this role is a seasoned household professional who has worked in private, high-standard family environments and understands what it means to take genuine ownership of a household. They do not need to be told what to do next — they look at a home, understand the family's rhythm, and move accordingly. They communicate proactively, not reactively.
They are equally at home engaging a curious preschooler through hands-on learning as they are managing a vendor call, executing a grocery run, or getting laundry turned around before pickup. The idea of bringing a child along for errands and turning it into an experience doesn’t feel like a workaround — it feels natural.
They have experience in a Montessori-aligned or developmentally focused environment and understand why consistency, natural consequences, and freedom from screens matter. They hold boundaries with warmth and without apology.
They are adaptable. One principal is home most days; the other travels periodically. Communication styles differ. The candidate is professional and personable with both, adjusts without friction, and never makes the family feel like managing them is part of their job.
They are ready for a long-term placement with a family that values their role and compensates accordingly.
